Foreign tourists make their way to the Sri Lankan capital Colombo from Unawatuna, near the southern city of Galle, December 28, 2004. Over 300 tourists were evacuated on Tuesday from the tsunami-hit town of Unawatuna by buses arranged by the British High Commission. While most tourists scrambled to escape the carnage, taking helicopter flights and sea-planes organised by their embassies, many foreigners who have made their homes in Sri Lanka pitched in to help.
