Attack on reporter, embassy official in Sri Lanka condemned
Sri Lankan journalist attached to the Sri Lanka Press Institute (SLPI), Namal Perera, lies on a hospital bed at a private hospital in Colombo on June 30. A senior British High Commission officer was beaten and his car smashed by unidentified attackers who tried to grab a reporter travelling as a passenger in the vehicle, police said.
